Pre-AP Biology

Pre AP Biology gives an overview to the science of life.  We begin by looking at organisms in ecosystems and their interactions.  Then based on those relationships we gather the principles that will be reinforced throughout the year.  Next, chemistry of life explains the molecules that are part of the make up of organisms and the components of cells.  Processes carried out by cells lend to the next levels of organization and from the instructions in DNA we connect gene expression to our physical make up.  Evolution of organisms continues the journey to eventually show change over time, and finally body systems wrap up our year.
