The Fort Sam Houston News Leaders recently ran our annual "Back to School" special insert. This special edition section includes important information about the new school year such as registration dates, key telephone numbers, dress code information, immunization requirements, sports schedules, and more. Join the New & Improved Color Guard!
Want to be a part of something fun, exciting, and new? All students in grades 9-12 are invited to audition for the 2010-2011 Color Guard! The team has undergone an amazing transformation - larger team, new uniforms, new flags, and sabers! There are three required practices from August 24-26 and auditions will be held on Monday , August 30. Click HERE for an informational flier.
Student Pictures on September 16th
Individual student pictures for 9-11 grade students will be taken on Thursday, September 16th. Students will take their pictures during their English classes in the High School Mall area. Students are asked to bring their order forms and payment on the day of the pictures. For more information on what expect on picture day, click HERE. Pictures for seniors will be held on October 23rd. Appointments for senior portraits are by appointment only through Mrs. Baker.

If you are new to Fort Sam Houston ISD and will be registering your child, you can download the required registration forms online to get a head start on the process. Free Technology Training Online!
The Fort Sam Houston ISD  recently purchased a site license with Atomic Learning, an online resource for technology video tutorials. The service provides "as needed" access to over 40,000 video tutorials covering over 120 software applications. In addition to being a great resource for students and teachers, all FSHISD parents can also access the site! To obtain your free username and password, email our Director of Instructional Technology, Dr. Roland Rios, at rrios@fshisd.net. Please supply your name and your child's name and school.
